A 2020 Coseytown Introduction - Coseytown Lions Mane was soft launched last year through Cold Water Flowers and is getting a full launch this year.
Coseytown Lions Mane was one of the first seedlings I ever grew. This fluffy orange bloom grows on a great plant with long cutable stems, it is a vigorous bloom producer, and it grows ample tubers that are easy to store. Make sure you pinch this plant back in the spring (gently remove the top terminal bud when its about 12'' tall) to encourage it to branch. Otherwise you'll be growing bamboo. You have been warned. Haha. Harvest the blossoms when the bud cracks open and petals are colored, but before mature pollen forms. It will continue to bloom in the vase and give you 5-6 days.
Coseytown Flowers dahlia fields are inspected annually by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. I take the health of my plants and tubers seriously by proactively providing my plants with the proper nutrition and test the plants for Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), Impatiens necrotic spot virus (INSV) and Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). Every tuber for sale has been grown on my farm in Greencastle, PA.
Tubers can be shipped across the United States and Canada. Canadian customers must add a phytosanitary certificate to each order.
