Coseytown Kay

Meet Coseytown Kay! This plant is going to make many farmers and cut flower growers a very profitable season. First blooms start appearing 8.5-9.5 weeks after field tuber planting and continue blooming heavily throughout the season. The bloom sits upright on the stem making it a great bunching dahlia. You can harvest when the dahlia is beginning to open, and it will continue to bloom in a cooler. Be aware that this flower NEEDS SUNSHINE to create the pink blush color. It will continue to open white in the cooler (which could be good if you are short on whites!) Extended rainy days will also produce a mostly white bloom.
Once the daylight hours shorten to below 11.5 hrs per day (late in the season) this dahlia has a tendency to bloom open, but it has run a marathon from July-September!
Coseytown Kay makes some of the best tubers in size, shape, and storability. Plus it's generous on eyes, so make sure to save all the tubers when dividing, and they could very well be hiding a latent eye that will pop up later in the spring.
