Introduction
As a woman-owned small business, employer and self-supporting family farm, here at Coseytown Flowers we serve not only as the hybridizer of Coseytown's original dahlia creations, but also as the propagator, marketer and distributor thereof - and the propagation and direct sale of Coseytown dahlias is how we pay the bills, pay our team, and how we pay back our investments into making new Coseytown cultivars possible - as well as all the other work we do in support of the dahlia and cut flower communities. Terms of Sale were implemented in 2024 in advance of the Tuber Sale specifically in response to, and as a necessary safeguard against, particular entities having taken a significant interest in the acquisition, mass propagation and unsustainable and uncompensated monetization of Coseytown's original dahlia creations within the shortest order of their introduction. For Non-Monetized Growers
NO. 'Sale, resale or distribution of the Product' are common terms concerning the act of selling, offering for sale, preparation for sale, etc.
As a buyer who is not selling Coseytown dahlia tubers/cuttings/plants the Terms of Sale do not concern you.

Also, if you are a registered non-profit or charitable organization that would like to receive and sell donated Coseytown dahlia tubers for fund-raising purposes, just ask. We're here for it.

YES. Absolutely! Seeds are the genesis of all dahlia innovation and we fully support and encourage you to do so! As a hybridizer my impact is measured in the goals I create, the decisions I make, and the management practices I employ within a hybridization program to cultivate and nurture them towards their highest potential. Dahlia genetics are incredibly diverse, and I have always viewed my position as that of a steward. As such it is my job to provide all they need to become everything they were meant to be, even when that means their fullest potential is realized in the hands of another steward.
Growing from seed is NOT restricted. Seeds are the sexual reproduction of a dahlia which result in the discovery of new dahlia varieties. When I sell Coseytown Premium Dahlia seed or you collect seed from Coseytown cultivars, I want you to participate in the ongoing evolution and discovery of dahlias. Enjoy the ride!
For Monetized Growers

If you sell dahlia tubers/cuttings/plants it is most unlikely this is you; however, as a seller considering the purchase of Coseytown Dahlias the terms also apply to you.

Yes of course! This is the what Coseytown Cut Flowers cultivars are all about!
YES. The buyer is free to propagate additional plants for their own commercial cut-flower production and cut flower sales. It's one of the things Coseytown Cut Flower dahlias do best.
- Things already sold:
Whatever you have previously sold is not covered under the Terms.
- Concerning sale of CUTTINGS from stock previously acquired:
This is not covered under the Terms, it does not prevent you from doing so.
As for those who have sought permission or blessing from us as the hybridizer to sell cuttings of our varieties we have always respectfully asked them not to do so. This has not changed; we are now plainly stating this request openly to all to please not sell cuttings of Coseytown cultivars.

This is not covered under the Terms, it does not prevent you from doing so. - Concerning sales from stock procured under the Terms of Sale:
The Terms prohibit unauthorized or unlicensed sales and designate Coseytown Flowers LLC as the exclusive licensor (license granter) for authorization of these sales. - Q: Are the Terms of Sale retroactive?
No.
