Coseytown™ Goldilocks

Coseytown™ Cut Flower Dahlias
We're Here for the Workhorses

The heartbeat of Coseytown Flowers is firmly rooted in developing the best possible dahlia cultivars for profitable cut flower production. Our cut flower breeding program has been shaped by our own experiences and frustrations as a cut flower farm in search of the best dahlia varieties to bring maximum impact to our operation and bottom line... and our enjoyment as dahlia enthusiasts too!

Every Coseytown dahlia candidate begins its journey in our fields - and must earn its stripes over many seasons to keep its place there. To earn the distinction 'Coseytown Cut Flower Dahlia' each new cultivar must demonstrate its ability to consistently meet or exceed expectations for the following nine key Coseytown traits for maximum utility, productivity and profitability for cut flower production:

  Vase Life
Stem Length
Stem Strength
Bloom Productivity
Blossom Orientation
Blossom Attachment
Plant Growth Habit

Your purchase of Coseytown™ dahlia tubers is a smart investment that rewards you for years to come! Dahlia tubers grow plants which are true to variety, produce saleable blooms and grow additional root tubers in one season. Mature tubers can be stored and replanted the next growing season, or left in the ground and overwintered in appropriately warm growing climates. Either way, prepare to enjoy these incredible flowers for years to come!

More Info:

  • Dahlia tuber orders are shipped for spring-time planting in your area. See our shipping page for more details.

  • Listings for named dahlia cultivars are for single division root tubers. Unless otherwise noted, quantity 1 = one tuber.

  • Our farm exclusively grows and sells Coseytown cultivars in order to make them more accessible to you, and we do not have quantity limits on most items. With Coseytown Goldilocks, you’ve found the one that’s just right! A few seasons ago I had several visitors that gushed over this varieties color. The deep, moody honey mustard yellow of their dreams. The saturated gold tone that’s just right to enrich neutral color palettes that are in vogue. Coseytown Goldilocks loves showing off for the camera too, capturing light in a way that the bloom keeps its integrity, and the viewer can remember the details. Plus, who can’t love the extra ruffle each petal has?

LeeAnn's Hybridizer Notes
CT™ Goldilocks is a no-nonsense plant. Once planted and pinched, I don’t have to fuss with it all season - an ‘easy keeper’, which is one of the best qualities a dahlia can have in my book. Goldilocks also makes an abundance of well storing tubers - so much so I’ve never had any reason to want to propagate from cuttings. CT Goldilocks is a reliable early August bloomer, having been planted out as tubers in mid-May here in south central PA. The plant has an upright growth habit that requires support due to its height. Its stems are strong and are not prone to bending or snapping.
