The heart of the hybridization program at Coseytown Flowers is firmly rooted in developing the best possible dahlias for profitable cut flower production. Our hybridization priorities have been shaped by our own experiences as a cut flower farm in search of the best varieties to bring maximum impact to both our operation and bottom line as a cut flower farm - and our enjoyment as dahlia enthusiasts too!
To earn the distinction Coseytown-Certified Cut Flower a variety must demonstrate its ability to consistently meet or exceed expectations on the following traits:
∙ Tuber Productivity and Storability
∙ Plant Growth Habit
∙ Stem Length and Strength
∙ Bloom Productivity
∙ Blossom Orientation
∙ Blossom Attachment
∙ Vase Life

LeeAnn's Hybridizer Notes
Sangria’s color is a perfect match to the larger bloomed Diva dahlia. Coseytown Sangria has an upright growth habit that supports strong, slender 20+ inch cut stems. This plant grows very similar to Coseytown Sugar Berry, and I routinely grow these two varieties together in the field as they are easily managed in the same way. Coseytown Sangria is an ample tuber producer and makes seed.
