With Coseytown Goldilocks, you’ve found the one that’s just right! A few seasons ago I had several visitors that gushed over this varieties color. The deep, moody honey mustard yellow of their dreams. The saturated gold tone that’s just right to enrich neutral color palettes that are in vogue. Goldilocks loves showing off for the camera too, capturing light in a way that the bloom keeps its integrity, and the viewer can remember the details. Plus, who can’t love the extra ruffle each petal has?

LeeAnn's Hybridizer Notes
Coseytown Goldilocks is a no-nonsense plant. Once planted and pinched, I don’t have to fuss with it all season - an ‘easy keeper’, which is one of the best qualities a dahlia can have in my book. Goldilocks also makes an abundance of well storing tubers - so much so I’ve never had any reason to want to propagate from cuttings. Coseytown Goldilocks is a reliable early August bloomer, having been planted out as tubers in mid-May here in south central PA. The plant has an upright growth habit that requires support due to its height. Its stems are strong and are not prone to bending or snapping.
